White House

The two top floors of a period building in Milan underwent complete renovation. The substantial height allowed design thinking to start from the section, building a central, double-sided mezzanine which also allows access to the terrace. The use of white to provide continuity together with the introduction of large interior windows creates particularly luminous environments where custom-made furnishings become integral to the design of the space.

Terrace House

The layout of this Milanese apartment was redesigned to make the space continuous, creating passages and natural light openings in the existing walls. The relationship with the large terrace was emphasized, becoming another room of the house, almost part of the interior. The choice of grey for the walls, together with the use of natural materials, denotes a neutral space in which iconic design pieces and period furnishings find their ideal setting.

Garden Villa

The ground floor of this detached house, part of an extension added in the 1960s by a team of renowned Milanese architects, is reconceived as an element of passage where the principal space connects the street front with the rear garden, the position of the pool further emphasizing the visual connection with the surrounding Lombardy countryside. Bathed in natural light entering from above,
the custom-designed white metal staircase inside acquires an ethereal dimension. The furnishing of the spaces seeks to strike a harmonious balance between customized elements, design pieces and vintage items.

Dark House

This large apartment is located in a building dating from the 1970s, originally designed by a well-known Milanese architect. Responding to the challenge of the client brief, the space was rethought so as to use almost exclusively dark colors. The palette is the result of a careful study of different tones of grey, while white ceilings and natural light openings make the rooms welcoming and bright. The custom-designed furnishings accentuate the unconventional layout of the house.

View Attic

The project rethinks a large apartment that extends over the top two floors of a tower building. The large windows of the kitchen and dining area open onto the verdant terrace and the pool, emphasizing the continuity of the space, while the balanced rhythm of vertical wooden elements propel the gaze, drawing it from the context. The relationship between the two levels is enhanced by the backlit wooden slatted wall, to which the cantilevered steps are attached. The materiality of the cladding is designed to underline the relationship between the composition of the surfaces and volumes and the light.

Nordic House

This spacious apartment is located in an art nouveau building in the center of Milan. The project accentuates the brightness of the rooms through the use of white and the choice of a Nordic style that is both minimal and timeless. The expansive original windows made it possible to realize internal seating and to create a connection with the rear garden. The existing floors and the period radiators were maintained to preserve the atmosphere of the old Milanese houses and were carefully restored, the radiators being repositioned where necessary to improve distribution.

Park Villa

This 350 sqm period villa, composed of four levels and located near Monza park, underwent a complete renovation. The building was raised, the internal floor slabs repositioned and the staircase reworked to its original form. The conservative restoration of the external façade allowed the original appearance to be preserved. A glass veranda opens onto the garden and extends the living area. The style is essential, the colors light, the floor in oak parquet, the bathrooms in brown resin, while the custom designed furnishings are white lacquered. The existing trees in the garden were maintained and integrated, and the newly built swimming pool is surrounded by a wood decking.

Brera Apartment

The apartment is located in a prestigious period building in the heart of the Brera district in Milan, with large windows that open towards the city to offer commanding views. The project aimed for a consistent balance between respect for tradition and the introduction of modern elements in the choices of layout, the use of materials and the technological solutions. The continuity of light and the greenery that was brought inside the house transforms the living area into a large “hanging garden”, assuming the atmosphere of a nineteenth-century conservatory.

Stadium Villa

The project for this new-build villa extends over five levels for a total of about 1000 square meters. The living area is on the ground floor, with the bedrooms on the first and second floors. On the lower-ground floor is an infinity pool that opens onto an internal garden, receiving light through a walk-on glass floor in the living room, while the basement accommodates the garages. The organization of the volume made it possible to create large terraces at different levels that are connected to the main rooms. The large marble-clad staircase dominates the space and is attached to the main load-bearing structure that connects all the floors.

Sliding Doors Apartment

The project for this apartment on the top and brightest floor of a period building in Milan responded to the need to create a flexible space. All the rooms are connected by full-height custom-made wooden doors, both sliding and hinged. The different combinations in the arrangements of these large partitions can completely transform the way in which the house is lived. The colors play on different shades of blue and complement the warm shades of the furnishings that come from the family’s collection.
